CHICAGO (AP) — California forward Alex Morgan and UCLA forward Sydney Leroux are among 30 soccer players on the preliminary roster for the U.S. women’s exhibitions against China next month.
The teams meet Oct. 2 in Kennesaw, Ga., and four days later at Chester, Pa. Coach Pia Sunhage will choose 18 players for the matches, then select a 20-woman roster for Women’s World Cup qualifying, scheduled for Oct. 28 to Nov. 9 in Cancun and Playa del Carmen, Mexico.
