BEREA, Ohio (AP) — Other than “sucking wind,” Browns nose tackle Shaun Rogers spent his first full practice throwing offensive linemen around like rag dolls.
Cleveland’s big man is working his way into shape and said he expects to play in Sunday’s season opener in Tampa Bay. He’s back from a leg injury that ended his 2009 season prematurely and required surgery.
Arguably the team’s best player, Rogers is eager to help in anyway he can and says he’s willing to line up at end if that’s where the Browns want him.
The three-time Pro Bowler has yet to be on a team with a winning record. His teams have gone 40-104 while playing for Detroit and Cleveland in nine NFL seasons.
