Oct. 4 deadline to register to vote in Washington

OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) — The secretary of state’s office says Oct. 4 is the deadline to register online to vote in the Nov. 2 election in Washington.

The election will decide a U.S. Senate seat, all nine congressional seats in the state, 98 state House and 25 state Senate seats, as well as local races and six statewide initiatives.

There are 3.6 million registered voters in Washington, and 41 percent voted in the primary.
