FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) — New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick says he’s glad to have quarterback Tom Brady at least through the 2014 season.

Belichick says there’s “no other quarterback I’d rather have than Tom Brady.”

Brady agreed to terms Thursday on a contract that will make him the highest paid player in the NFL. The contract news came hours after a morning crash left Brady’s car damaged but the quarterback unhurt.

Belichick also said Friday that Brady will serve as one of four captains for the 2010 season, along with running back Kevin Faulk, nose tackle Vince Wilfork and linebacker Jerod Mayo.
