DeMarco leads Old Dominion past Campbell 44-13

BUIES CREEK, N.C. (AP) — Thomas DeMarco threw for four touchdowns and ran for another as Old Dominion routed Campbell 44-13 on Saturday.

DeMarco finished with 303 yards, including 273 on 26-for-33 passing and threw the game’s first three touchdowns.

DeMarco found Marquell Thomas 22 yards for a touchdown with 10:51 left in the first quarter, and threw a 10-yard TD to Reid Evans a little more than five minutes later. Early in the second quarter, Thomas and Evans hooked up again for an 8-yard score and a 20-0 Monarchs lead.

Evans caught eight passes for 65 yards and two touchdowns and Mario Crawford had 67 yards on five catches for Old Dominion (1-1).

The Monarchs proved efficient on offense, compiling 28 first downs, including 3-for-3 on fourth-down tries and tallied 463 yards of offense.

Adam Willets kicked field goals of 46 and 38 yards for the Camels (1-1).
