SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) — Notre Dame special teams coordinator and defensive line coach Mike Elston was unable to coach in Saturday’s game against Michigan because of illness.

A school spokesman said Elston was ill and not at the game.

Elston, who played linebacker at Michigan, was on first-year Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly’s staff at Cincinnati last season.
