PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — The father of a missing Oregon boy has dropped a motion that sought to find his estranged wife — the boy’s stepmother — in contempt of court.

A Sept. 21 hearing had been set on Kaine Horman’s motion, which dealt with the alleged sharing of a sealed restraining order. That hearing will be canceled.

Horman has filed for divorce from Terri Moulton Horman. Another hearing is set for Oct. 7 in Multnomah County Circuit Court.

Kaine Horman tells KGW-TV that dropping the motion is an act of good faith. He adds that he wants to get the divorce wrapped up.

Terri Horman is the last known person to have seen little Kyron Horman after taking him to a school science fair on June 4. Although she has not been named as a suspect or person of interest, investigators have focused on her.
