ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — Linebacker Karlos Dansby led Miami’s new-look defense with eight tackles and a sack, Ronnie Brown scored from a yard out and Dan Carpenter kicked two field goals in leading the Dolphins to a 15-10 victory over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.
Miami’s top offseason free-agent played a huge role in limiting the Bills to 166 yards on offense as the Dolphins opened the season with a win for the first time in five years.
Brown scored on a 1-yard plunge and Carpenter had field goals of 32 and 43 yards.
The Bills supposed new-look offense had a familiar popgun appearance to it in Chan Gailey’s debut as coach. Buffalo managed 72 yards on its first nine possessions before Trent Edwards capped an 80-yard drive by hitting Roscoe Parrish on a 31-yard touchdown pass.
