MILAN (AP) — Tour of Lombardy organizers have included co-owner Lance Armstrong’s RadioShack team in their entry list for the race next month.
The announcement was made Tuesday.
Radioshack had been set to appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport to rule on whether race organizer RCS Sport broke a contract by excluding the team from the Oct. 16 race.
RadioShack had declined to compete in the Giro d’Italia, which is also organized by RCS Sport, in May.
The Tour of Lombardy is the final chance for riders and teams to earn points in the International Cycling Union’s world rankings. RadioShack, which was denied an invitation to the Spanish Vuelta, is 11th of 30 teams.
Armstrong announced his retirement after the Tour de France in July.
