Washington State University Vancouver reported Monday that 203 freshman have registered for the fall semester, up 18 from last year and a new record.
The Vancouver branch campus of the state’s land-grant university has admitted freshmen for five years now, though most of its students transfer from Clark College or elsewhere.
Total fall enrollment was 3,097, compared with 2,984 in fall 2009.
The number of new transfer students was 587, the most in 10 years.
