ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Rick Porcello has been scratched from Wednesday night’s scheduled start against the Texas Rangers due to an injured right index finger.

Right-hander Armando Galarraga will be moved up a day in the rotation as Porcello’s replacement.

Porcello said he strained the finger while throwing a curveball during a start against the Chicago White Sox last Thursday.

Porcello allowed three runs and four hits in eight innings as he earned his fourth straight victory in the 6-3 win over Chicago, but the injury worsened over the weekend.
