REDMOND, Wash. (AP) — Redmond police say two men arrested on suspicion of a burglary brought a 3-year-old child to the alleged crime.
KOMO News reports that a resident in a Redmond neighborhood called police after seeing a man a neighbor’s house. When police arrived, the man was spotted walking toward a parked car. He then bailed out of the car and began running when police moved closer. He left the driver and the boy in the car.
The man who ran was arrested later after being tracked by a police dog.
Redmond police spokesman Jim Bove says the boy has been placed with Child Protective Services.
