SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — Washington state’s Department of Ecology says it’s OK to eat fish caught in eastern Washington’s Potholes Reservoir.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency had listed the popular fishing lake as violating water quality standards. Because of that, the state had to determine whether an extensive cleanup was needed and whether fish from the reservoir are safe to eat.
The Ecology Department says it tested fish from the lake for pesticides, but found levels too low to be of concern.
