CHICAGO (AP) — White Sox second baseman Gordon Beckham was out of the lineup against the Minnesota Twins on Thursday and might miss a few more games because of a lingering hand problem.

The Twins held outfielder held Jason Kubel out of the lineup because of soreness in his left wrist stemming from their most recent homestand. He left Wednesday’s game, and manager Ron Gardenhire says he is day to day.

Beckham has been bothered by a bruised right hand since he was hit by a pitch against Cleveland on Aug. 30. Manager Ozzie Guillen says Beckham isn’t swinging well and will be shut down for a couple days.
