AIGLE, Switzerland (AP) — The International Cycling Union has provisionally suspended Spanish rider Oscar Sevilla for suspected blood doping.

The UCI says Sevilla tested positive for hydroxyethyl starch — which increases blood volume — in a urine sample taken at the Tour of Colombia last month.

Sevilla, who rides for Rock Racing, remains suspended until the Spanish Cycling Federation holds a disciplinary hearing.
