FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — Rex Ryan says cornerback Darrelle Revis will be listed as probable with tightness in his left hamstring, but will play in the New York Jets’ game against the New England Patriots.
Ryan says Revis “did pretty good” at practice Friday after being limited on Thursday. Revis participated in about half the team’s practice Thursday and came out when the Jets went into 2-minute drills.
Revis wasn’t made available to the media Friday. He said Thursday he fully expected to play on Sunday, and appeared to be unhindered during the half-hour of practice the media were allowed to watch Friday.
Ryan maintained that the injury is minor and the team just wanted to be cautious and not push its star player through the tightness.
