FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — Sione Pouha and Mike DeVito say they are ready to replace the injured Kris Jenkins on the New York Jets’ defensive line.

Again.

It’s the second straight season Jenkins has been lost for the season with a knee injury, catapulting his two lesser-known teammates into the spotlight. Defensive coordinator Mike Pettine says it’s “like deja vu,” but is confident the two can again help the Jets repeat as the NFL’s top defense.

DeVito and Pouha (boe-OOH-ha) have already proven they can get it done. Jenkins tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in Week 6, and Pouha and DeVito stepped in. This year, Jenkins lasted less than one quarter, tearing the ACL in the same knee in the opener against Baltimore on Monday night.
