OSTRAVA, Czech Republic (AP) — Sue Bird and Swin Cash had little time to enjoy their WNBA championship with the Seattle Storm.

Only a few days after sweeping Atlanta in three games, the pair headed to the Czech Republic to try and help lead the U.S. women’s basketball team to a gold medal in the World Championship.

The two began a 21-hour journey early Monday before showing up at the team’s hotel in Ostrava right before practice Tuesday.

Sleep wasn’t even the biggest concern for the two stars, who missed all of the U.S. team’s training camp that started Sept. 4 in Washington D.C. Making sure their bags made all the connections was their No. 1 priority.
