ALOHA, Ore. (AP) — The Washington County sheriff’s office says a deputy shot and wounded a man who was trying to prevent an arrest after a neighborhood fight in Aloha.

The sheriff’s office says deputies investigating the fight Tuesday night decided to arrest a 62-year-old man for kicking a neighbor’s car.

Deputies say the man resisted and other people in the house attacked deputies.

The sheriff’s office says one of the deputies shot 49-year-old Leonard Salaritro. He was taken to a hospital with a wound in the torso.

Two other people were arrested for interfering with an officer and resisting arrest.
