FORKS, Wash. (AP) — A fire official says an early morning blaze that destroyed a Forks landmark is considered suspicious. Clallam County Fire District No. 1 Chief Phil Arbeiter says an investigation is under way into the fire that raced through the old Olympic Theatre early Wednesday.

He tells the Peninsula Daily News that electricity to the building had been turned off.

The old theater has been unused and boarded up for years. Firefighters prevented the flames from spreading to nearby structures housing Peninsula College, a pharmacy and a bookkeeping business.
