PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — The FBI says it has made an arrest in an Oregon bank robbery in which agents nicknamed the robber the “Where’s Waldo” bandit, based on his appearance in surveillance photos.

Spokeswoman Beth Anne Steele says Ryan Homsley of Portland was arrested Friday. She says investigators filed a complaint Wednesday in federal court, charging Homsley with Tuesday’s robbery at a Key Bank branch in suburban Tualatin.

Steele says Homsley has been a patient at a Willamette Valley-area hospital since Thursday, and would be scheduled for a court appearance upon his release. She declined to provide any more information about his hospitalization.

Tuesday’s robber reportedly indicated he had an explosive device and left behind a small box, but no explosives were found.
