NEW DELHI (AP) — The head of the Commonwealth Games says a lot of work has been done in recent days to get facilities ready for the upcoming event but much work still is needed.
Commonwealth Games Federation President Mike Fennell rushed to India earlier this week after teams complained the athletes village was filthy and other infrastructure needed work before the games open Oct. 3.
Fennell said India has done much work to resolve the problems in recent days.
He said more work was needed on “the final touches, and there’s more work in the village. It’s not over yet.”
