Southeast Missouri beats Tennessee Tech 23-21

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) — Henry Harris rushed for 196 yards and one touchdown and Southeast Missouri edged Tennessee Tech 23-21 on Saturday night.

Matt Scheible threw a TD pass to Nathan Grass, and Miles Edwards rushed for another touchdown for the Redhawks (3-1, 2-0 Ohio Valley Conference).

Tre Lamb threw for 246 yards and two TDs for the Golden Eagles (1-3, 0-1), and Dontey Gay scored on an 11-yard run.

The Redhawks led 17-7 in the third until Lamb narrowed the gap to three points with a 60-yard TD pass to Tim Benford.

Benford caught a 19-yard TD pass from Lamb with 56 seconds left in the game, but Southeast Missouri held on for the win.
