State seeks public input on new energy strategy

OLYMPIA — The Washington State Department of Commerce is seeking public comment on its draft state energy strategy released Friday.

Commerce is updating the 17-year-old plan to better meet the state’s future energy needs and encourage economic growth.

The draft update is available in the “Committees and Work” section on the state energy strategy website: http://www.commerce.wa.gov/site/1327/default.aspx.

Comments are subject to public disclosure and will be posted to the comment page of the site. The public comment period lasts Sept. 23 to Oct. 15. Submit comments to energystrategy@commerce.wa.gov.
