BELLINGHAM, Wash. (AP) — The Whatcom County search-and-rescue coordinator says a photo taken during the search for a fallen climber apparently shows his body.

The coordinator, George Ratayczak, told the Skagit Valley Herald Tuesday that Dallas Kloke (KLOH’-kee) apparently died in Saturday’s fall.

The sheriff’s office says the 71-year-old Anacortes man fell more than 300 feet off a cliff near Mount Larrabee in the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest.

The photo was taken Monday by an air team taking part in the search.

The sheriff’s office says a recovery team is waiting for a break in the weather to continue the search.
