Clark College men’s soccer team wins

Jesus Cruz had two goals and one assist Wednesday, helping the Clark College men’s soccer team to a 5-0 win over visiting South Puget Sound.

Josh Amoroso also scored twice, and Nathan Diaz had a goal for the Penguins. Clark improved to 4-1 in the South Division of the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges. The Penguins are 7-2 overall and ranked No. 4 in the NWAACC.

The Clark men play at 2 p.m. Saturday at Tacoma. The next home match for the Penguins is at 4 p.m. on Oct. 6 against Southwest Oregon.

Lane women 4, Clark 1 —  Anna Blakeslee scored for Clark, but the Penguins fell to 1-6-2 with the Wednesday loss in Eugene.
