SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — A Spokane police spokeswoman says sheriff’s marine deputies have been unable to locate a woman who reportedly fell into the fast-moving Spokane River.
Officer Jennifer DeRuwe (De-ROO) says a search began Monday night after a witness called police to say a woman slipped and fell into the river while walking her dog. Marine deputies searched again Tuesday.
The woman was described as in her mid-30s with long black hair.
The police spokeswoman says the dog has not been located and police so far have no missing person report.
The Spokesman-Review says major crimes detectives are trying to find any additional information about the woman.
