ATLANTA (AP) — Jason Collins left Atlanta’s game against San Antonio with a sprained left ankle.

Collins, who started at center, suffered the injury with 3:10 remaining in the first half of Tuesday night’s game. Collins fell back when defending Tim Duncan and appeared to collide with teammate Al Horford.

Collins was escorted to the Hawks’ locker room. Collins did not return to the bench for the start of the second half. Zaza Pachulia took over at center.

The 7-foot Collins has been a part-time starter this season. He started against the Spurs with forward Josh Smith held out with swelling in his right knee.
