PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — A man has surrendered in the investigation into the hit-and-run death of an Oregon bicyclist near Molalla last month.

The Oregon State Police said that 26-year-old Jacob Croall surrendered Friday at his attorney’s office in Portland.

Croall was arrested and charged with failure to perform the duties of a driver to an injured person and tampering with evidence in the death of 67-year-old Thomas Mossman of Molalla.

Mossman was struck by a van as he rode his bicycle westbound along Highway 211 on March 22. He died at a hospital on March 31.

An anonymous tip led troopers to the van but investigators were unable to locate Croall until he surrendered. He was being held at the Clackamas County Jail.
