Jacob Snyder pitched a two-hit shutout Friday night as the Clark College baseball team split a home doubleheader with Grays Harbor at Propstra Stadium.

Snyder, from Olympia’s Black Hills High School, struck out five in the 10-0 victory in the seven-inning second game.

Cory Niten’s triple highlighted a three-run second inning for Clark, and then five consecutive hits led to four runs in the fourth inning.

Clark pounded out 12 hits with two hits each from Niten, Joel Johnson, Evan Pickett and Marcus Blackmon. Marcus Manderbach, Cory Henning and Niten each drove in two runs.

Like the doubleheader split on Thursday at Aberdeen, the Chokers won the nine-inning first game, 11-4.

Clark was held to five hits. Bryce McKinney was 2 for 4 with a double, home run and two RBI.

Clark (8-16, 3-5 NWAACC West Division) is scheduled to host Green River at noon Saturday at the renovated Clark College field.
