Letter: Bus runs should be expanded

In response to Paul Rollins’ March 28 letter, “Downsize routes with low ridership,” I do not agree with his claims about low ridership of the Felida bus. My grandson and I live in the Lake Shore-Felida area and ride the No. 9 bus. We usually catch the first or second bus starting at 6 or 7 a.m. This bus is always full. There are many people headed to work and students headed to sports activities (the school buses are not running this early).

On the return trip at 5 or 6 p.m., it is packed again. I know one older lady who relies on this bus totally for groceries. She lives in Felida. Also, there are a couple of disabled vets using it. If anything, I would like to see it increase runs, like on Sundays, for church.
