MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) — A 74-year-old southern Oregon man is facing criminally negligent homicide and drunken driving charges after his wife was run over and killed in their garage in Medford last November.
The Mail Tribune reports that Donald Edwin Green pleaded not guilty at his initial appearance Monday in Jackson County Circuit Court on charges resulting from the death of 73-year-old Pauline Green.
Green was indicted on the charges in March.
Medford police and firefighters were called to the couple’s home in November to find the injured woman lying on the garage floor, where she died.
Donald Green told investigators the couple had gone to dinner, then he dropped off his wife at home to run a short errand, and did not see her when he returned and pulled into the garage.
