SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — Spokane firefighters putting out a car fire early Wednesday discovered a badly burned body in the trunk.
Investigators told KXLY it appears the car did not crash and the fire was intentionally set.
Sheriff’s detectives are investigating the death as a homicide.
