Defense secretary to speak at WSU commencement

PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) — Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates will speak at Washington State University’s commencement ceremonies next month.

Gates will speak May 7 on the Pullman campus.

His wife, Becky, graduated from WSU’s College of Liberal Arts in 1965 with a degree in history. She currently sits on the College of Liberal Arts council.

Gates will speak to graduates from the College of Liberal Arts and the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication.
