PHOENIX (AP) — The Arizona Diamondbacks have recalled pitcher Esmerling Vasquez from Triple-A Reno and optioned right-hander Kam Mickolio to the minor league club.
Over parts of two seasons with Arizona, Vasquez is 4-9 with a 4.81 ERA. He has appeared in 110 games, the second-highest total among Diamondbacks relievers since 2009.
Mickolio pitched in four games for Arizona this season and had a 9.00 ERA.
