MIAMI (AP) — A valet at a Miami Beach hotel is suing the mother of Miami Heat basketball star LeBron James, claiming she verbally abused him and assaulted him while he was working.
Rock Feller Sorel made the allegations against Gloria James in a lawsuit filed Wednesday.
Gloria James was arrested and charged with simple battery and disorderly intoxication last week. Police said she had a strong odor of alcohol on her breath and bloodshot eyes.
Sorel claims Gloria James assaulted him after asking for her car to be retrieved at the Fontainebleau hotel. He says he suffered pain, loss of income, and is seeking more than $15,000 in damages.
Attorneys for Gloria James were reviewing the complaint and did not have immediate comment.
