Heritage — All-Pro football player Ovie Mughelli visited Frontier Middle School students March 25 to talk about sustainable living. Mughelli, who plays fullback for the Atlanta Falcons, talked during two assemblies about green and sustainable living and how the students can make a difference. Frontier students won the opportunity to meet Mughelli by collecting more plastic bags for recycling than students at Shahala or Wy’east middle schools.

Mughelli had come to promote his Ovie Mughelli Foundation at the fourth annual Better Living Show in Portland. He led sports and environmental activities during the show.

Mughelli, considered one of the best fullbacks in the National Football League, works with youth through his foundation — empowering and educating them regarding social responsibility, economic development and personal stewardship of the environment.
