MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Lawyers for the NFL and league officials are meeting with the judge assigned to supervise court-ordered mediation between the NFL and its locked-out players.
The league’s contingent arrived at the chambers of U.S. Magistrate Judge Arthur Boylan on Wednesday morning. Executive vice president Jeff Pash, the lead negotiator in talks with the union that broke off last month, was in attendance along with other NFL officials and outside counsel.
Lawyers for the players met separately with Boylan for about four hours Tuesday. The two sides are scheduled to be in the same room with the judge on Thursday, the first time since the collective bargaining agreement expired and the union decertified. The lockout entered its 32nd day Wednesday.
