Plant expert to speak at Volcano Views and Brews

A scientist with expertise in identifying plants will deliver the monthly Volcano Views and Brews presentation Tuesday at Bella’s Courtyard in the Academy, 400 E. Evergreen Blvd.

Ray Yurkewycz will present the basics of plant identification, as well as discuss how plants responded to the 1980 eruption of Mount St. Helens.

The event is hosted by the nonprofit Mount St. Helens Institute.

Food and beverages are available for purchase. Happy Hour begins at 5 p.m., and the speaker will begin his presentation at 6:30 p.m. All ages are welcome.
