BOSTON (AP) — The game between the Tampa Bay Rays and Boston Red Sox scheduled for Wednesday night has been postponed because of rain.

The Red Sox say the forecast called for showers and chilly weather throughout the evening. No makeup date was announced.

Tampa Bay won the first two games of the series. The Red Sox have the worst record in the American League at 2-9 and the Rays are 3-8.

Boston is off on Thursday. The Rays are home against Minnesota.
