SOUTH BEND, Wash. (AP) — The Pacific County, Wash., sheriff’s office says human remains found April 1 in a forested area have been identified as those of a South Bend man missing since last November. On Wednesday, investigators searched the man’s house and arrested his 16-year-old son for investigation of murder.
Chief Criminal Deputy Pat Matlock says the King County medical examiner’s office used dental records to identify the remains as those of 48-year-old Timothy W. Moore, listed as missing since Nov. 4. KXRO says the cause of death was a severe blow to the head.
Matlock says investigators served a search warrant at Moore’s house with the help of a Washington State Patrol crime lab team.
The investigation continues.
