SALEM, Ore. (AP) — The Willamette Queen Sternwheeler ran aground Tuesday night on a gravel bar between Salem and Independence.
The Statesman Journal reports eight passengers and the crew were safely removed by Polk County marine patrol and Salem firefighters.
The sternwheeler also ran aground in January 2010 on a river cruise near Portland.
