FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas running back Broderick Green is expected to miss the upcoming football season after tearing a knee ligament.

Green suffered the tear to his anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during spring practice on Wednesday. The 6-foot-2, 244-pound junior was listed second at running back on the Razorbacks’ depth chart before spring practice and as the starter at fullback.

The former prep standout at Pulaski Academy in Little Rock transferred to Arkansas after one season at Southern California. He has appeared in 26 games the last two seasons for the Razorbacks and finished last season with 265 yards rushing, including three rushing touchdowns.
