NCAA approves uniform changes in volleyball

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The NCAA has decided that liberos will wear solid-color jerseys starting in volleyball matches beginning in 2013.

The Playing Rules Oversight Panel has approved the rules change to help officials who were having trouble distinguishing liberos from other players. The libero is a designated back-row player, usually a defensive specialist who can start rallies or keep them going.
