PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) — Washington State junior forward DeAngelo Casto has decided to forgo his senior season and will declare for the NBA draft.

Washington State coach Ken Bone made the announcement late Friday afternoon.

Casto, a 6-foot-8 post with strong shot-blocking ability, was the Cougars’ third-leading scorer last season at 12 points per game and led Washington State in rebounds at 7.3. He was a second-team all-Pac-10 selection and was named to the Pac-10 all-defensive team. He will leave school as the No. 2 shot blocker in Washington State history with 165.

Bone says he wishes Casto nothing but the best and that “his effort on the court was always outstanding.”
