WALNUT, Calif. (AP) — Reigning Olympic gold medalist Allyson Felix was victorious in the 400 meter relay at the Mount San Antonio College Relays on Saturday.

Felix made a surprise cameo in the race, anchoring the Kersee All-Stars to a win in a time of 43.10 seconds.

Fellow Olympic medalist David Neville, a member of the Nike team, ran 44.61 in the 400 to finish fifth, while improving his time from last year’s season-opening race.

Three athletes became new national leaders in their SAC events: Charles Jock captured the 800 with a time of 1 minute, 45.19 seconds; Bryce Brown won the 400 Hurdles at 49.25; Carmelita Jeter finished first in the 100 in 10.99.

Felix helped win the 400-meter relay and took silver in the 200 at Beijing in 2008.
