COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Oklahoma’s Jacob Dalton won the vault and floor exercise and finished second and fourth in two other events at the NCAA men’s gymnastics championship on Saturday night at Ohio State’s St. John Arena.

Upset that the Sooners didn’t win the team title, Dalton had a spectacular night.

Successfully defending their titles were Oklahoma’s Alex Naddour, who tied for the top spot in the pommel horse, and Ohio State’s Brandon Wynn on rings.

Illinois’ Daniel Ribeiro captured his second individual NCAA title — he was first in the pommel horse in 2009 — when he matched Naddour in the pommel with 15.550 points.

Other winners included Illinois’ Tyler Mizoguchi in the parallel bars and team champion Stanford’s Alex Buscaglia in the horizontal bar.
