$300M project completed at PNNL at Richland

RICHLAND, Wash. (AP) — The Pacific Northwest National Laboratory at Richland is celebrating the completion of one of the largest construction projects in its 46-year history.

The Tri-City Herald reports the $300 million project built several new buildings and renovated others where 750 lab employees work.

Officials from the Energy Department, National Nuclear Security Administration and Department of Homeland Security are attending Tuesday’s celebration.
