MIAMI (AP) — Heat guard Dwyane Wade is feeling much better, one day after missing practice with symptoms of a migraine.
The team says Wade is expected to play Monday night when Miami hosts Philadelphia in Game 2 of an Eastern Conference first-round playoff series. The Heat lead the best-of-seven 1-0 after winning Saturday’s opener.
Wade was able to do some light work on Monday morning, wearing protective goggles to shield his eyes from bright light. He played through a headache in Game 1, scoring 17 points, the last five coming in the final 94 seconds to help Miami seal the win.
Wade has been bothered by migraines since childhood. He missed a game earlier this season because of the problem, and may wear goggles again in Game 2 against the 76ers.
