Thanks are in order to state Rep. Tim Probst, D-Vancouver, for his continued dedication to helping students become job-ready. His most recent efforts are around the Opportunity Scholarships program. Probst led discussions with private funders to allow this program to go forward. According to Probst, this program will “reach well into the middle class.” And according to the program’s CEO, “It will dramatically increase the number of Washington residents completing their college degrees.”

At a time when many ask what legislators do for us, this is a great example of how one legislator brings together public and private sectors to better the future for our state and our children.
